Topic: Anyone know of any good websites to download clean/edited/radio versions of music??? - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I'm getting ready to DJ a middle school dance.. and need a ton of clean music. I also plan on DJing at numerous places in the future that prefer clean music to be played.. Does anyone know where I can specifically find music like this. I have done google searches for the song title and i've added the word "clean" after it... But that doesn't always work.

If anyone could help, that would be great!

Thanks!

You can get all you need from Amazon or Beatport i would think.

Greets, Heiko

Thanks a lot.. I'll look into both of those.

iTunes..?

You can always get a Youtube MP3 downloader. Just find the clean songs and download it's MP3.

Doing that would be illegal. If you're working as a DJ and earning money from it, you should be purchasing your music.

In fact, even if you're not a DJ you should be buying it.

You should be careful about saying things like that on here because you could find yourself being banned.

+1 on purchasing your music. Advising against purchasing music is equivalent to advising everyone to download a cracked version of VDJ PRO 7.(which I am against) Stop being Obamaites (wanting something for nothing) and get off your lazy arse and purchase your music. :-)

In addition, Youtube converter makes for horrible MP3's. They sound crap.

Join a legit music pool. There's tons of them out there, and usually for one monthly price you can download as much as you need. Most pools offer clean/dirty/extended/remixed high quality versions of just about every song you would ever want.

A premium membership allows for songs to be downloaded from VD, correct?

Promo only has a huge selection and most of the mainstream selections are "clean". If you are playing a school event you may still have to sift through the music and check for content. Even though the song is clean doesn't mean that it is age appropriate.

PromoOnly and my favorite PrimeCuts. I just did a catholic school dance last week and had the same dilemma. However, clean does not mean you can play in front of kids. Clean means you can play on the radio, which you can say BITCH and ASS and HELL. You also don't want a "suck my" or anything like that. I did very well, because they will request you to death, and you can play the whole song. You will need premium service, unless you have every One direction song, every Justin Beiber, R5, Taylor Swift. By the way Olly Murs w/ FloRida you will need to listen to, as well as Thrift Shop. I also joined here. Just another 50 bucks a year.

I use Bpmsupreme and it has what you are looking for but like any music you still need to listen to it because as stated before just cause it says clean or radio edit the context of the songs. It may not have the foul language but it may still insinuate inappropriate actions.

Try ERG Music, only 25.00 bucks a month and has the clean versions available.Let`s get out of the mode of looking for Free music, stop Djing for free and buy your music...

always use beatport and they always do money off promos.

www.my12inch.com

RPM and Promo only are the two services that I get my music from.

Forget the fact that the music is a "radio edit" (so much more is allowed anyway these days) but its the content that you can't do anything about. I always make sure the client understands that first.

For videos, I have used vj street, etc. they are not the best. They may work, but there is no way they beat VJ Pro in any catagory. Not even a close second...
