Topic: Scratch Wave Speed

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is there any way to change the speed of the scratch wave? I would like to 'tighten' the wave so that it moves a bit 'slower' through the panel, if that makes sense. I spent quite a bit of time this morning searching for the answer, and this was the best thread I found.....http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/151830/VirtualDJ_Skins/Scratch_Wave____________.html

Yet if I change the length number in the xml, nothing changes on the skin. Any advice?

you will have to increase the length try 5000 i think the default is around 3000.
hope this helps.

Oh yes it does!

I've just modified this skin and changed the length of the right wave to 4000 (double the left wave).

When you've made the change and saved the XML to the ZIP file, you have to select another skin in VDJ and then reload the modified one to see the difference.......

Once version 8 drops you'll be able to zoom in and out on the scratch waves as Well so don't be too discouraged the team has listened......

Thanks all....Will try that shortly and report back.

Once again, thanks everyone for your help!!! I had skipped 2 steps. I didn't save it back to the zip, and I didn't switch the skin and switch it back. I just tried it doing all of the above and it worked like a charm!!! Thanks a million. Saves my eyes a bit.
