Topic: Virtual DJ Custom Splash Screen

Hi to all........This is my first post.

I bought Virtual DJ a couple of weeks ago from DJ kit in Newbury, and have started to get to grips with it.

My question is this? Does anyone know if my logo can be inserted to run on VJDJ while I am playing a mix, I use this dj system especially for Karaoke and want to place my new business logo within it?

Someone out there will know Im sure? I did the obvious and searched the forums but to know avail.

Try the free Firetext plugin, you can use an image or video to display your logo etc any size and anywhere on screen.

As your a pro user you can also get the free sms version to use at your shows as well.

also try the show logo plug-in in the download section under video effects, if its going to be a simple logo splashed on the screen. firetext is brilliant, but does cost a few shekels.
 
A few shekels... it's FREE, you can't get any cheaper than that!!!

backdrop , show logo, clipbank......

if you have some video software you can make your own bits

and run them in clipbank or in combo w/ other software
 
Clipbank is no good chuck, he needs to show file over music vids or karaoke files. As far as I can tell he prefers it to be a moving video file.
 
I agree with Tayla.
Firetext plugin will help you with your logo and placement of the logo, transparancy of the logo and even switching logos and or commercials.

That's the only plugin you need

(No I'm not working for this company and do not have any other connection with it. I just love to use this plugin with every possibility without the need to use multiple plugins to have the same outcome)

EDIT:
PS: When I do karaoke I also use a webcam to project the singer(s) in a upper corner on the same screen as the karaoke video (with Firetext plugin)
 
Hi all,

Thanks so much for answering.

I am after a simple splash screen which will stay on screen even when just music is being played. I'm not worried about while the karaoke is on. Because I use a DJ starcloth to hide my stands etc, people keep asking what my dj name is.

Let's not forget about the Pangolin plugins, both FREE as well........ 48 clips and free SMS, all integrated in the software.........
 
Sounds like you just need the "slideshow" plugin. Make a jpg or bmp picture file with your logo on and open it using the slideshow plugin.

You can make the "slideshow" automatically activate when you're playing a music video by going to the "config" menu, then the "video" tab and ticking the box to the left of "use this plugin for audio only files", then select "Slideshow" (or whatever plugin you end up using) from the drop down list to the right.

@tayla - been awhile since i read any of the FT threads and didnt know it was free for VDJ registered pro-users - boss just doesnt want it in his bars even though i've explained that there were ways to control the messages that got to the screens (there's more to it just not that i'd discuss public)

by all means knock yerself out if ya got the system to handle it!

Where is this "slideshow" plugin I cannot find it anywhere on the site.

Question, can I use this plugin to just show 1 pic when I am playing audio files? What format can this plugin "slideshow" handle? Can it play a mp4 or avi as well?
