Anyone know how to fix the "lag" or "sttuter" type effect. This is usually found with master tempo on with some CD players, but on my Macbook pro with Virtual DJ LE and the Pioneer DDJ Ergo, it does this even when tempo is at 0 and master tempo is turned off... It just doesn't sound normal... And I know there is a way to fix it, I fixed it on my regular Virtual DJ when I was using Pioneer CDJ players and now I forgot how, but I wanted to use the Ergo for a more compact setup for my mobile gigs and when people ask me to DJ for a few hours at a house party.

If you mean frame cueing, then this is not currently possible in VirtualDJ.
However, there is a user-made effect (PC only) that may achieve what you are looking for. You would need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount to be able to use it. If your Pro trial is still available and has not expired yet, then you can try it out using the trial:

Support, Thanks for your response. I guess maybe stutter is not the right word. When playing back a song, even at 0 tempo, and turning the master tempo off, it seems to have some sort of artificial lag like the old Denon CD Players used to have when you would turn master tempo on. The newer Pioneer CDJ's do not have this lag any more, master tempo sounds perfect on them. It doesn't make sense that playback would have this lag.
However, if I upgrade to the pro version trial for 20 days, I was able to tweek some master tempo settings (WHICH DOESNT MAKE SENSE given that master tempo is off and it's still doing this), and it seems to have made it better...
I don't understand, why, out of the box, Virtual DJ does not properly process audio files through the sound card on the Pioneer DDJ Ergo... Seems very odd to me. I'm running a 2012 Macbook Pro quad core processor, 8 gigs ram, ssd, with Mountain Lion, so I'm pretty sure the system is not the issue, but who knows.

If you mean a slight delay when you start the song playing then this is the latency of your sound card. Try adjusting it in CONFIG -> Performances. On Mac with CoreAudio, latency usually isn't a problem (On a PC, an ASIO sound card is required to obtain low latency for scratching and instant start.)
If you mean that your sound is stuttering, dragging or similar, then this is probably performance issues with your computer or a configuration issue. See http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Performance%20Issues.html
If you find the sound of master tempo is poor when turned on (Compared to Pioneer CDJ's, etc.) then you are probably using the default fast algorithm. This has low CPU requirements but will produce sound artefacts, especially at wider pitch adjustments. Try going to CONFIG -> Performances and choose the advanced stretching.

I have a Macbook Pro with a core i7 processor, 8 gigs of RAM, 256 SSD, etc. I doubt latency in my system is an issue. I also tried other programs, such as Traktor, and they do not have this issue.
I am not talking about a delay when starting the track, that part is fine. Scratching and other stuff is very responsive. The problem is the audio playback quality, it's jittery, not like skipping, but more like it's randomly missing 1/10 of a frame or something. It does appear that tweaking the settings help, but those are only available in the Pro version, why does the LE edition not let you change any of these settings? If you don't allow people to adjust the audio settings then you should at least make the software work properly right out of the box.

This is probably because you have keylock enabled with the fast algorithm.
If so, turn off keylock and you should find it sounds better.
VirtualDJ LE is free limited software and doesn't have any config options except during the time limited Pro trial. Advanced stretching which provides higher quality keylock sound is a feature of the full VirtualDJ Pro software only.
If you haven't used the trial yet, you can enable it to try out advanced keylock/master tempo and other Pro features.
You can upgrade from VirtualDJ LE to the full Pro at a discount by going to: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
