Hi, Im having the same problem. Cant get vdj8 to recognise my s4 mk2 at all, been at it for hours and cant find and answer. Think im missing a .ncks4m2 file for the controller editor, not a clue where to find it!

Downloaded the mapper the only function workin is the fader slide??? What does it mean to when it says "set button to gate" and turn function encoders to relative and how do u do that? I'm assuming that's why the rest of the functions aren't working??

the relative and gate functions are set in the Native Instruments controller editor. if you have trouble finding the settings i will post some screenshots after work tonight

Native instruments software, and drivers, plus like as not hardware appear to damage VDJ.
I'm running Traktor, and an F1.
All you can do is experiment.
I encountered problems with Microsoft packages from 2013, which were demanded by Traktor.
It's a mess.
You're the leader..are you up to it?
I'd suggest a cheap laptop for karaoke running VDJ, which is not a resource hog like Traktor, and use your main laptop with Traktor, or bin Traktor.
I only run Traktor on an experimental laptop, and I use my F1 with VDJ 8.
