Topic: Losing my mind mapping X1 to one deck and SEP to 2 decks

Guys,
I have just hit a wall. I am new to VDJ.

I am simply doign the following:

-Add Pioneer SEP-C1 controlled in HID mode on decks 1&2 - plug it in go to mapper assign to deck 1&2 all good

-Want to add my X1 to control deck 3 (and 4) using Serato SL3 box so 4th deck not an option for me.

I take:

I load the NI Controller Editor, then the Virtual DJ.ncc and make no changes. I leave it open

I start VDJ and go to mapper:

Problem 1 I now see under devices 2 Traktor X1's....why?

I assign the top one to Decks 1 and 2 and the bottom one to 3 &4

only thing that every works is the knob the scrolls the crates or tracks. Loading loads tracks to deck 1 or 2. In desperation I opened the XML files and changed all references to 1 &2 to 3&4 but I am confused as to the purpose of this especially with the device assignment to deck list.

I am so frustrated and out of ideas. At this point all I wish to do is have the X1 control deck 3.

Can anyone help direct me on how this process works?

i just bought the kontrol x1 i downloaded the mapper for it and followed the instruction that came with it .Am using a mac and vdj 7 pro and the ns6 the only thing that is working on the x1 is the browser knobs and the loop knobs but rest of the buttons are not working am i missing something .
