Topic: Virtual DJ with NI Audio 8 DJ Soundcard

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi guys, in abit of a rush.

Want to use Virtual DJ 6 on my pals Mac which runs 10.7 and I've got a gig tonight.

Just bought a second hand Audio 8 DJ sound card and I was wondering what the set ups were? Is it just plug and play through channels A and B?

Will be using CDJ 1000 mrk 2 and a DJM 600

Any help would be great!

I use mine with a PC so it may be alittle different on a MAC but yeah in the setup window itll be 1/2 for deck 1, 2/3 for deck 2 and 4/5 for the sampler. Im not at home but that should be it.

Hope thats some help

Still having trouble with the set up.

On the Soundcard option in "Set up", the only way option it gives me is to select the "4in4out" then click audio 8 from the drop down list, but nothing seems to work.

The sound card indicates that its recieveing a signal from the CDJ, but nothing happens on screen.

Using Virtual DJ Pro 6 on a Mac running the new Lion OS.

Any help would be helpful!

VirtualDJ Pro v6 is a very old and out of date version of the software. There have been many changes and improvements to the software since then (See http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ_History.html ) - We are now on v7.0.5b

Please register your serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then upgrade to the latest version: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If you haven't purchased VirtualDJ Pro, please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

You can try it out for 10 minutes a time before purchasing with the latest Home FREE: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html

The cause of your problems is most likely due to using such an old version.

I use my audio8dj since ..i don't know , but maybe 3 years , without a problem ...Time code with Serato vinyls is amazing !
