These are the speakers that I use on gigs. I have noticed how many DJ prefer to have smaller speakers along with Scrim King covers to hide the tripod and add an appealing look to the setup. If I had not already purchased larger speakers, I would have used Scrim King covers and some pars to wow the crowd. I have tried to find a product to beautify larger speakers in events such as Weddings and QuinceaƱeras. I have had no luck so I decided to brainstorm. I looked into Architecture and how it utilizes fabrics to serve a purpose and make something look pleasing.

Then I looked at a setup from a David Guetta concert.

Now I wonder If there can be a solution to beautifying large speakers or camouflaging them. Any Ideas guys? Maybe white speaker covers? How about layers of triangular covers and up lighting that hide the speakers and act as an effect or wash as a whole? Just brainstorming here.

Thanks for a great post!
I Read many years ago about some psychological research into audiophiles preference into which sound system sounded the best.
It came down to the one they thought would be the best .... was.
Similar research found many people when given the choice between to identical products in a shop, one twice the price of the
other, most preferred the more expensive one, thinking the extra cost meant extra quality.
So If you can impress people with the look of your sound set up and make them expect a great sounding system then providing there
are no obvious defects they will be impressed with your sound.

I could show you mine but i don't know how to post the photos on this walls, but this is how it works to beautify you big speakers. I bring my speaker to the tailor to customize covers for me. They measured every angled of the speaker and tailored a thick nice cloth with thin foam inside and have zipper to detached the front cover and to change the covers of the speaker but you have to keep the front of the speaker open, only side, back, top & bottom. I have 4-jacket covers of each speaker i have black, red, flourish design like flowers for wedding and checkered/stripes. This idea came to me when i purchase my JBL-MRX500 series which it comes with JBL original cover and i derive my cover design from there. Logon to amazon and search speaker cover and you will see some original company built design and you can revised it for your own preference.

Nothing wrong with seeing a stack of speakers at a gig, I think it looks great.

Hi,
I was just at Disney World the other day and noticed a few clever tricks they use to hide their speakers, I took a photo of a band playing to remind myself of it....

The speakers are inside those decorative "boxes" at the sides of the stage. They look solid enough with the printed pattern on, but they're actually made from a mesh material so that the sound can get through clearly.
I was wondering if some plain black ones, or maybe "star-cloth" style ones would look good for DJ's.

I love the look of my speakers, but I think that at weddings my speakers should not stand out or stand out. What I mean is that I think they should camouflage or stand out on purpose by using something that will wow the guest. Disney knows how to think, those covers might even be to avoid water damage. I love everyone's input so far!

There is a little camera icon when you post something. If you click on it there will be a 'browse' where you are able to find the picture. Then once you have the picture you want you click on upload.

You could get material that is 'acoustically transparent' & have them custom made to go around them or have some space between the fabric & speaker if they are white & light them up from the inside. Sometimes it's good to think 'inside' the box.
