Topic: Skin with large writing for tracks

Hi all ,
Just got my friend into virtual dj but he has pretty poor eyesight , is there a skin that anyone of you have come across with larger writing to help him find the tracks easily . Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Check out some of the newer skins in the download section, they have a text size selecter built in.

If he is going to use an older skin just follow this video I made, it's over 4 years old now but the principle is still the same....



There is another tutorial covering fonts specifically if you need to check it out in my blog.

If you still have problems I can talk you through it on Skype if you want.

Can you please let me know which skin you can change i have checked a few of them with no luck , also in the skin where is the bit where you can change the size of lettering ,

Thanks but just managed to change the font size using the tutorial , it works a treat , he will be well happy this weekend ,

Here are the skins I have made and you can change the text size:

1440x900:




1920x1080:


Also djdad has made several skins with this ability ;)

Thanks for doing this Video, I went straight to the browser section and changed the font to something that I can actually see without looking for my glasses first!
Excellent bit of information.
I just copied, altered & resaved the file as the xml then renamed the XML file and the bitmap image to be the same name.
Opened it up in Virtual DJ and there it was with the font changes.

Did anyone mention there is a button at the bottom of the screen/browser to INCREASE/DECREASE text size?
 
Unfortunately that option is not available on all skins, hopefully it will be there in the next release.
 
Paul i just tried those changes you implement in your tutorial (size 18 , yellow, transparent, etc)

and it didn't work on the default VDJ 7 2 deck skin (1280*768 xml) in win7 64 bit

i had that working before u probably remember on Vista 64 bit......

is it unavailable in win 7 or VDJ7 ??
 
I played with this 1 and got it just right for ME @ night......

I need VERY LARGE remaining time number and VERY LARGE BPM number.
