Topic: Pioneer DDJ-S1 Troubles with cue-headphone

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi!

I'm running vdj (705b) with the pioneer ddj-s1 and the mapper by cstoll. downloaded from the vdj page.
it works, BUT.... cue-headphone doesn't work. cue-mixing beetween cue-master doesn't work too :-(((
the earphone does work, but only when using the fader (master). when using serato itch which is bundled with the ddj-s1, everything works... but it's serato.. :-(

I've tried another pc, it's the same

win 7
newest pioneer drivers
newest virtual dj
mapper by cstoll version 1.0

can anybody help me?

greets mexx

sorry for my english :-)

This has nothing to do with the mapping, you got probably wrong audio settings, most likely the master and headphones are swapped.

Audio settings :

Inputs : None
Outputs : Headphones (Master : Chan1&2 / Headphones : Chan3&4)
(Here you have the option to swap outputs if needed)
Soundcard : Pioneer Ddj ASIO

cstoll mapper not necessary , Ddj-S1 is supported in V 7.0.5b ;)

To config the Headphenes correctly you have to go to (>config >Sound Setup) under outputs: select (>Advanced Config) click the (+) to add a second stereo channel. on the first channel select (>Master >ASIO4ALL V2 ASIO >Output 1&2).... on the second channel select (>Headphones >ASIO4ALL V2 ASIO >Output 3&4) click Apply and OK... :) This is what worked for me because when i would select the (Line Pioneer DDJ-S1) for both master 1&2 and headphones 3&4 the sound would always come out of both master and headphones and the PFL buttons would not work. Well I hope this helps you guys.
