It is very frustrating to move a song from the bottom of a long list of songs in the Automix/Playlist panel to the top of the list because the window does not auto-scroll when the cursor moves to the top of the panel. This necessitates moving a song in stages several time up until you can eventually get it where you want it.
Can this panel be made to autoscroll when dragging a song up or down within the panel? Auto-scrolling is expected behavior in situations like this.
Thank you.

This is something I've always wanted too, and Duplicate (Worded) Title & Artist removal, not just track #'s...

Sorry to put a downer on things guys but... to have a list that long and requiring that feature in automix to use it you wouldn't actually be dj'ing would you, so having to pick the mouse up a couple of times to substantiate your wages is not gonna be much of a biggy is it.

I forgot Tayla, are you a club DJ or mobile dj?
as a mobile DJ who does primarily weddings, My saturday's usually start by playing about an hour of cocktail music, and then an hour of dinner music.. Thats 2 hours where no one is dancing and they are not expected too..
Beatmixing or even 2 deck mixing during this time is not going to be appreciated by the clients..
Where-as at this time I can be doing other more usefull things, like helping coordinate the reception, checking with the other vendors on the timeline, getting things ready for the entrance of the B&G, helping release tables for eating, etc etc etc..
So yes... my Autoplaylists are pretty long.. and yes, I do tweek them as things go forward depending on the reaction and average guest age, and YES, by being able to leave my console during dinner music I actually MAKE MORE MONEY then I used to.. Cause I can now act as an MC without having to be tied to my console..
just sayin ;-)

Good point their hippydog, I also have to be more concern with entertainment, coordinating comedy night talent, material for guest singing artist, karaoke shows with background music between songs, events, and the list gos on....
I'm glad I don't use Sorry-Rato....Hey maybe we can call VirtualDJ "The Entertainers Software" of Choice.....

hey hippy I do both, though not nearly as involved in the proceedings as guys in north America seem to get or want to be involved in a mobile show, money aspect doesn't come into this request, there is enough space in the aoutomix section to take up over an hours air time and anyone away from the decks for ten or fifteen minutes needs to look at his job description. Besides scrolling the mouse a couple of times is no biggy to me and that was the point I was trying to make in prioritising this request against others in this section of the forums ....
just sayin' :-]

Ok, but I use my playlist for just that, A Playlist. I move things around all the time and preplan.. So that is why I want this. Not necessarily for automixing, but to better help me organize my night.

actually, thats kinda GENIUS.. Almost every mobile DJ I know uses VDJ..
Atomix should make that their standard tagline!

thats fine.. everyones different..
I'm just dont understand why you feel that your way is the only right way, or why you seem to feel the need to be condenscending about it..

money aspect doesn't come into this request, actually it does.. Its not a major aspect in regards to this request I agree, but wedding entertainers (VS DJ's who never leave their consoles) can make upwards of $2000 to $5000 a night..

since were from two different countries, it only makes sense what we consider a "Wedding DJ" is probably going to be different LOL
in my opinion I think this should be a high priority.. Its a very small change, and I will assume easily implemented. hopefully others will think the same..

Hey hippy, loosen up, your missing out everything I said, I wasn't condescending at all, nor did I say my way was the right or wrong way, we could chat all night about it, if my way is the right way or not, but at the end of it we'll both agree what ever decision I choose I was right anyway... lol, I'm not disagreeing it might be beneficial to some or even a lot of people but for me and i dare say a lot of other people it is way down our "would like to see" list.
I'll not list them as then we would be taken over someone else's thread.

another good point..
When the dancing starts I mainly use the autoplaylist to just store my requests I recieve (rarely do I go over a pages worth)..
BUT it would be nice to also be able to throw some of my setlists/mixes in there (based on the requests).. and an auto scroll would make that a lot easier..

Honestly I really think that while Tayla you are right that it isn't a high do or die priority it is for a lot of people important to be able to autoscroll their setlist. Forget saying that its just a couple of clicks or its just part of the job description I will give you a real life situation where it would be far faster for the progression of things when djing. I like to set up about an hour of music ahead of time. then I like to go through and find some hits that worked well in my history then I get to about 3 hours of music I sort it 1st beat. then key. then I look and make changes to the list the way I want to play them. while doing this I also take requests and put those in the list. meanwhile my music is playing. right now if I want to pluck a song at the bottom of my list and move it to the top because someone requested it and I have to move it to side list scroll to where I want it in the list then pull it from sidelist and slide it back in the play list. it's not all that difficult for any of us to do I know but it's the kind of request that if they can do it and it won't make anyone miss a family function because they have to recode the program then why not put some cherries on our sundae?

I don't know about anybody else and I haven't seen it mentioned but I just use the "browser_zoom" function. I always play with my screen maxmized so when I do that I never need to scroll.
I don't really think anybody's right or wrong here cause we all use it in a different way, come on MEN let's get along.......

The same case can be made for the folder panel window, if you have alot of folder and need to bump up a newly created folder... It's just a matter of we are use to seeing this in many other windows applications that we use everyday, so it would be more of a convenient and quicker to get things done...
