Topic: Auto Scroll when moving songs in Automix/Playlist panel - Page: 2

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

That takes Three operations Huey, instead of One.... do it and done, We are all use to using it this way, it's not a Dos program we are working with...big convenience could be had if it was possible....

So just pick a keyboard key and map it to Browser-zoom? i will try it thanks. so this will eliminate the need for three step moving and shuffling?

It will make your browser the size of your screen.

Huey

No, No, No.....One Stp for Zooming, One Stp for Moving, One Stp for Un-Zoom That equals Three steps for that One Operation..

If it was available, then that would only be a One Step operation..

while doing this I also take requests and put those in the list. meanwhile my music is playing. right now if I want to pluck a song at the bottom of my list and move it to the top because someone requested it and I have to move it to side list scroll to where I want it in the list then pull it from sidelist and slide it back in the play list. it's not all that difficult for any of us to do I know but it's the kind of request that if they can do it and it won't make anyone miss a family function because they have to recode the program then why not put some cherries on our sundae?

For this very reason (requests), I have asked for a "Add_Next_In_ Playslist" script. No auto scroll, no clicking and dragging. Just VDJ doing exactly what you would expect it to. If the action existed.

The action description of this would be to add a selected track from the browser window to the top of the Playlist window, or if in automix mode, add below the current playing song.

This feature would be particularly helpful with the iRemote app, when getting requests, while handling MC chores out on the floor. Imagine getting a request from the wedding party and being able to add it mid conversation and say, it is next, without getting up! This kind of effortless showmanship lets us concentrate on making their day perfect and will make you look very professional and organized. Not to mention JAW DROPPING as most wonder how you just did that. That equates to a better chance of tips and/or talk about all the cool things you can do as a DJ, which is the best "advertising" you can get!

agreed that would be pretty cool.

Hi,

I agreed with you. Any way, your points of view make me thinking about some thing for my project.

Pls try to keep posting. Tks and best regards

What about, if you needed it 3rd down from the playing track from the bottom of the pile ..?.....what your asking for is a "script wish", which by the way is a good one, but the topic is "Auto Scroll" feature which will enhance the functionality of the program no matter how you choose to use it or in some cases not use it, all will benefit....

+1 I just posted this as a feature request for VDJ8. I believe Traktor, Serato and most other software already has this behavior as well as the Finder in MacOS/OSX.

This thread is a bit schizophrenic, Don your case, if you want that use dual deck automix and load the track to the second deck,
everyone else while your wish is valid, use browser zoom, use your controllers scroll encoder [find the track in the list grab it with the mouse and use the encoder to scroll the list] , I've got a mate with one arm and he gets by [yes djing]

@locodog
...Not so fast, there is a need for this for those of us who are Dj entertainers, singers, wedding/karaoke host that don't have the option of staring at the computer screen to pull this off that easily.

In fact I've asked for a second playlist option page in auto-mix for an event program playlist separate from your music list, which would also benefit regular Dj's too..

Think about it...
