I picked up a used virtual vinyl USB soundcard for really cheap because of the Numark Cue non-transferrable license, and I'd like to try to get it working.
Has anyone been able to get a virtual vinyl soundcard to work with free or cheap dj software like scratch live, mixxx, or the Ms. Pinky stuff?
I realize I can't get CUE without buying it new and I am not intersted in cracking or other nefarious activities.
thanks!
that other dude who bought virtual vinyl used.

Sorry, the Numark VirtualVinyl sound card will only work with a full legitimate version of either VirtualDJ Pro, Numark Cue or Numark VirtualVinyl (Discontinued software.)
It is not compatible with any other software.
If you like the software, please support it by purchasing your own license for VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

thanks for your quick, clear answer. I appreciate it!
I do not appreciate the Virtual Vinyl licensing model
so...I'll be buying a Rane Soundcard and using Serato Scratch live. If Numark changes their licensing terms I'll be interested! Until then my virtual vinyl sound card will make a great paperweight.

Just buy VDJ PRO the card will work with that, and is cheaper than serato. Plus you can do video at no extra cost

Eh?
That's like saying "I don't like guns so I'm going to buy a Colt 44".
(mind boggled)

You are best off buying a rane product to use with serato scratch as it is far more superior then virtual dj pro/numark cue when it comes to using timecodes.
Virtual dj is probaly the worst software for using timcode so i wouldnt waste your money.
