I have just bought a Hercules DJ Control MP3 E2 unit and the software that came with it is good and automatically is mapped to the unit. However, I have just downloaded "Virtual DJ Home Free" and it only worked for 10 minutes and then stopped working. This was seemingly intentional. I prefer this software but is there any way of mapping it to the console without buying pro for £230 Euros!!!!!!
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi there,
Unfortunately you do only get a 10 minute trial with the Home edition (this edition is basically a try before you buy).
Is the 230 Euro's including the discount you are entitled to for an upgrade?

Sorry, VirtualDJ Home FREE does not support MIDI controllers.
It is for non-commercial (Unpaid) use at home only, using your mouse and keyboard to mix: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
However, controllers can be tried for the first 10 minutes as a trial of VirtualDJ Pro features. After that, the controller will de-activate and control will revert back to mouse and keyboard only until you restart the software.
To use external controllers, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Or you can continue using the free limited edition (LE) of VirtualDJ that came with your console.
NOTE: VirtualDJ LE/Console Edition is limited software does not support custom mapping, skins, effects, etc.
