All depends the managment of the memory (RAM) and the value selected in VDJ:
if this value is big: problem of RAM
if this value is little: problem of HDD

maybe your memory (RAM) is defectuous or full when vdj does a loop. Why in fact parts of the song are saved in buffers (a space of memory) so when you do a loop, you access the RAM if this part in already in a buffer otherwise vdj access to the file

At the same time to my mind the access to the file (i mean the song) is not enough fast for the loop. So either your hard disk is not clean (so do a defragmentation to start) or your hard disk is dead (maybe do you use an external in usb2?)

Here are my conclusions:
* verify your materials (hardware)
* clean your windows, the registry, HDD (do a defragmentation)
