I know every persons computer is different, but let's imagine in this case it's one of the faster computers out there..
If I were to set my VDJ just right to SCRATCH as quickly and accurate as possible what setting would that be?
Maybe I'm being too vague. But would there be a "best setting" scenario that helps speed things up with scratching? Mine just seems to lag a bit.
I run a dual core, 4RAM, and the Numark NS7 (which scratches flawlessly in ITCH). Thanks for your help!

I have the same setup as you and unfortunately at least for me there is no setting where the scratching doesn't have small glitches or hiccups unless I set it to where scratch uses the basic algorithm but then I have pitch distortion for whatever reason so I don't think you find a setting that works well with scratching till version 7 comes out when they are going to have a sound engine mode for scratching

Go to Performances section of setup and slide to best quality and look at settings on that page, then lower it and look at what settings change. What you are trying to do is get the lowest latency setting before you get glitches. To give you some idea mine runs 128 (2ms) latency with 35 filter taps and 35 filter size optimised for quality and Master Tempo set to Fast with a connectiv sound card, and runs glitch free with videos firetext and effects, but I'm not a scratch turntablist either, just a little scratching here and there.
