I use the slide show for many events. One problem... if I have pictures numbered 1 - 100 they will advance in that order. However If I start at picture #50 it will show that picture and start on #1. How can I start the slide show at picture # 50 and follow picture # 51, 52, 53, etc? and not go back to #1 after it shows picture #50?

If I'm taking pics at a gig, i sometimes save my next set in another folder...say 'GIG 2' for example. So my first 50 or so pics are in 'GIG1' and then my next 50 are in 'GIG2'.
Play all the pics in GIG1 and then when they're done, open up the GIG2 folder in the slideshow tab and all the pics in that folder will show.
Dunno if that's any use and it's a bit of a long way for a shortcut but it gets the job done...:o)
Keep spinnin'...(",)

Yes, that is a way but sometimes I just want to get in the middle of a sequence of pictures on the fly, but Virtual DJ does not allow you. It will always go back to picture 1 after the 1st picture is displayed.
Also if you stop the slideshow and go back it starts from the 1st pic. This is not good if the guests have seen those pics and you want to show then the other pics in the file starting from the middle and going to the end.

O.k. whats your system's Specs? what version of VDJ you are running? make sure you have selected the folder and location of your pictures in the plugin.I use the slideshow with no problem, on Vdj 6.0.7,pentium duo core 2.0ghz,Runnig Vista (was gonna swith to Xp but never got around to it...).make sure you did a good download of the plugin and that a pop up shows when you install it confirming it.If you didnt see the confirmation then it didnt installed right.do it again.Im mentioning this cause i've ran into all this problems at one point or another...Lol...but had no problem with the slideshow.

You are missing one or more of the plugin requirements.

Thanks it is working now after i installed the other plugins. It is doing exactly what I want. Now I can start in the middle of a group of pictures and it will proceed with the slide show to the next picture and not revert to the beginning. Why doesn't VirtualDJ make this part of the software, so we don't have to add this?

HI, I noticed that the pictures do not fit the whole screen with your plug in. I have the "Enlarge small pictures" highlighted. The VDJ slide show will stretch to make the picture fit without any border.

Correct.
The VDJ slideshow will break the aspect ratio of a picture to fill the screen. The whole purpose of mine was to fix this bug ;)

Does your pluggin work with version 6.x? I'm still running v5.2.1.
Question for you though. I think I had to install C++ for it to work when you first made it and it does work, but really taxes my system. Video on my screen gets all choppy though things still work. Is there something I'm doing wrong or missing? Is there a solution to the demand it puts on the system? PC, XP, AMD 4600+, GeForce7600gt w/256M, 2Gig RAM.
Thanks,
Brian

This being a five year old thread, I would suggest you create a new thread with your specific problem.
List what version of VDJ you are using along with which slideshow effect and what steps you are using to try and make it work.

Please open a new thread instead of digging a 5 year old one. All informations in it are outdated.
