Hi there.
I would like to share a problem I face with the technical support of ESI/Audiotrack.
First, let me describe you, how much I have supported them, buying their products.
Since 2002, I have bought 2 cards PCI (maya 44 - Audiotrack) for my own.
I have, also, suggested to almost 10 persons to buy this card and 3 DJ's to buy the USB version.
Since 2009, I bought one more ESI Maya 44 (it's the same with audiotrack) and one USB U46 (for my laptop).
All of them, operate with Windows XP or Vista.
I instal windows 7 (64 bit) and I have a problem with the ESI maya 44.
So, I ask for a technical support from ESI.
They help me only with e-mails. We exchange almost 10 e-mails but that's all.
I asked them to use teamviewer (in order to check and maybe solve my problem) and they said that "we only support by e-mail".
Of course I have informed them, that I am a regular proffessional customer of them and until now, I have suggest to many persons to support them, with the buy of their products. Their answer remained the same.
I hate to spend almost 140 euros to buy a card that 2 years later, don't work with Windows 7.
If someone want to buy this card from ESI, he must think it twice.
If the card will not work, he has to know that the service might don't help him.
PS: I work in a company, that very often, other companies from aboard, help us via teamviewer.
Our base is in Athens and companies who provide us with software from Istanbul, Madrid, Sofia and Tokyo support us using teamviewer.
I can't understand why ESI/Audiotrack don't want to help me.

maybe you should check what else is running usb on your computer or the state of your hard drive, because i've tried this card with vdj and it worked fine (to almost perfect).
i used the esi version not the audiotrack. on xp it was pretty much perfect and they released 7 ultimate 64-bit drivers pretty early and they worked like a charm.
the esi maya44 usb card [$120] i tried was over 2 yrs old and worked better than the serato ssl1 [a $400 card] (serato at that time had not having released their 64-bit drivers yet. i havent tried vdj with the newly released 64-bit drivers for 7)
esi maya44usb card is one of the best card bang for buck. its got a high resale value... you would feel the pain buying better card.
i wouldnt mind recommending this card to anyone.. or for its price having it as a backup card..

The ESI Maya 44 USB has worked flawless for me on windows XP, Vista and 7.
I have never once come across a problem whilst using the esi maya that has been related to the esi maya only problems with virtual dj

Official ESI Maya 44 drivers - http://download.esi-audio.com/?w=esi&p=14&g=0&l=en
Supports all versions of Windows XP (32/64bit), Vista (32/64bit), and Win 7 (32/64bit)

Supports all versions of Windows XP (32/64bit), Vista (32/64bit), and Win 7 (32/64bit)
Maybe you have not gotten the right drivers from the right source - or - as suggested, you have other conflicting issues in your system.

esi u46xl is my favorite soundcard. flawless. I bought it because ESI was on of the first companies who released drivers for windows-7.
ESI MAYA is only for windows-xp.
Usually companies release new products for newest OS and is not profitable for them to work for their old products.
Lesson my friend. Take it as it is and don't try to convince company to help you.

Guys I have try everything.
I also talk with ESI's Customer Support.
They only help me with e-mails but I am not satisfied.
I am not satisfied because they can't consider that I am a proffessional and I need assistant.
Real assistant and not advices.

The card is PCI, buddy. The hard disc has absolutely no relation with the latency of the card.
I also try this card (the specific piece) with Windows XP and with windows 7 (32 bit) and works perfect.

I have a problem with the USB Version also
I can't get it to run correctly in fast or fastest mode. used to work great!
but now has an issue in windows 7(64) . normal seems to be better than it used to be (with ultra low latency clicked)

You have to learn to live with your problem.
If you ask for help, from ESI... they will answer to you that "some motherboards are incompatible" and for sure they will not help you.
Just like my case. They only help you with stupid advices.
The guys are not proffesionals.
So pitty, I gave them my money in the past.

Erm what happens if you select 4.1 card rather than 2 cards - since the Maya44 is a single card and not two cards.
Also using ASIO is better than not using ASIO IMHO so I can't see a problem there either...

I don't want to use ASIO.
When I use ASIO the feature "wait loop" don't works on Virtual DJ.
This feature works only when you don't select ASIO.

My friend, I use MAYA 44 (audiotrack) since 2001.
I have suggest it to many persons.
Since the last year, I have buy two MAYA 44 (from ESI - white board).
The one works perfect on Windows 7 (32 bit) but it's selected the ASIO mode.

ASIO mode is ALWAYS what you want to use with VDJ.. its the only way to get it to work with ALL channels

Does the card not work in 4.1 mode then?

Exactly my friend.
In mode 4.1 you can't have the two decks on two separate stereo channels.
You only have sound on one deck.

You are mistaken: 4.1 cards allow you to use External Mixer which outputs two seperate stereo channels.

Yes. This happens when you have a soundblaster.
NOT AN ESI maya 44.
And I am sure about that. I just test it.
All the tests I did, happened with
Maya 44 (audiotrack)
Maya 44 (esi)
U46XL (esi)
