My buddy just got his sound card for timecode setup and the CD won't scratch backwards (if you spin the platter backwards it plays the track forwards) I'm soon to be a pro user and have basically the same setup and would like to trouble shoot this before I get all setup. Anyone have any ideas???
Would using the pro grade TC be better for A Numark CDX? Currently using the low grade TC.
Plus the signals are at 100% but theres no circles it's just a vertical line.
-setup-(single timecode for now)
-1x American Audio 4x4 Versaport
-1x Numark CDX
-Stanton m.212
Everything else works perfect except that I can't scratch or cue up a track.

From what I can tell (note that I watched the video from my blackberry) when you showed the part with your timecode signal, it wasn't round? It looked like straight line which is not how it supposed to be. I use vinyl and when ever I got a straight line in the signal window things don't work. I would say maybe check all your connections. Sorry I couldn't be more help but ill take another look at the video from a computer and not my phone, lol.

The problem is you are sending only a MONO signal to VirtualDJ.
You should have 2 waves in the Debug window - 1 Green and 1 Red. The vertical Green line in the other view also indicates only a MONO signal.
Also, if you are using the VirtualDJ Timecode signal, you should only use the appropriate VirtualDJ option from the Timecode signal drop-down. Anything else will produce unexpected results.
Please look here to understand more about properly configuring VirtualDJ for Timecode use - http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/TimeCode%20Config.html

You are using the wrong timecode engine, use cd VDJ5 or VDJ old timecode engine 4.

I set the timecode to Virtual DJ CD. I now see two lines(red and green) but quality is always at 0% and it still only plays the song forward.
I'm out of blank CDs but would using the pro-grade TC make a difference. I'm using a Numark CDX.

i know its not the needles or the turntables as i have swapped them to input 2 and they work fine. could it be my rmx settings? does it matter if im not using ASIO sound card? pls help.. thx!!
