Hi

I want to buy the Hercules DJ Console but I just want to know if it's worth it. I heard that there are other better consoles out there.

Thanks!

Its all about money, and what you are going to use it for...

HERCULES
- semi pro beginner & pub dj, all-in-one package

Good dual soundcard (2x stereo out possible, for external mixer)
ok controller unit, that will controll vdj software
Great for home practice, and even pub djing
Not good for serious scratching

XP10
- pro controller unit

single soundcard (you need 2 x xp10 for connection to external mixer)
pro controller unit
great for scratch, touch sensitive platter

TIMECODE VINYL/CD
- very pro controller

Uses real dj hardware to controll VDJ, either turntable or CD decks
NO soundcard, you need to buy a good asio soundcard for full use (for example maya44)
Expencive solution, need to buy the hardware

I purchased a Hercules DJ Console recentely. Coming from a Vinyl and CD Deck background, I was pretty impressed! controls seem a little small to me, but overall not bad for just over £100. I would buy one again easily.

i have XP10s and DjConsole.. For start is better Hercules, because all-in-one functions and because of it's price for all this.
Behringer console is relative new.
If you know how to mix with turntables and if you have some expierience on this, buy turntables and TCVs from atomix.
My friend bought them for me. I'll get them next week.
