well for anyone else have trouble with this i will post my results this week going to try with windows xp, although its for vdj im going to trust serato tech on this one <<Serato recommends Windows XP over Vista for use with Scratch LIVE Scratch LIVE version 1.7.2 adds support for Microsoft Vista, however we recommend Microsoft XP for professional use, most notably for performance reasons. You will be able to run XP at a lower USB buffer setting, meaning lower latency (for a better vinyl feel) and better performance in general.>>

I am not running VDJ on a laptop. I use a pc with intel dual core processor runing at 3.5 Ghz. 4 gigs ram, Windows 7 64 bit. I am experiencing no problems. Problems with music skipping can be due to settings where the latency buffer is 2 low. If I use the 92 or 1 ms latency setting I get skipping I am now using 512 or 15 ms and have no sound or latency problems.

I was running windows xp pro sp3 for several years.
I had vista on my laptop when first came in, always crashed, got rid of it in about 2 weeks.
Windows 7 is running perfecti for now, I double checked if everything was fine to upgrade to windows 7 for my laptop which it is ( custom install only ) ( double checked = all drivers for hardware available and working correctly )
Go take a look at windows 7 advisor it will tell you if you can run windows 7, and help you find drivers ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1B544E90-7659-4BD9-9E51-2497C146AF15&displaylang=en )
Good Luck

Hey whats up. I've Run VDJ6 Pro on XP, Vista, and 7. XP was good had some crashes, but that laptop had an outdated processor. My windows Vista PC has amazing stats. Ran smoothly no lag great response time, but still had crashes. Sold my old laptop and bought an Asus with windows seven. So far VDJ6 runs the best on this one. No Lag, and I even leave my wireless on. No crashes to date, had it about a week. Hope this helps, good luck!
