Hello all,
I just recently upgraded from 4.3 and a DMC2 controller to 5.2.1 and the Denon HC4500. Everything seems to work ok except a few things.
1. Therer is a very slight response time from when I press play on the controller to when the music starts. Maybe 1/16th of a second not very much. But this makes it a little bit more difficult to beat macth. Anyone know the solution to this. I thank you.
2. On the old 4.3 I could left click on LOCAL DATABASE and all my music would come up in front of me and I could search by BMP. Now there is no LOCAL DATABASE button, How can I search all my music by BPM if I am not sure what I want to play? Thanks guys.

search within a bpm range ie search for
127-132
to get all tracks between 127 bpm and 132 bpm
you can also search by key using the camalot scale
12A
will bring you all tracks listened to by vdj and identified as 12A (search the forum for more on the camalot scale)
hope that helps on part2 :)

This is called latency; there are many things that affect it. The only real controllable one for you is audio latency; what do you have set for it in Cue and in the Denon control panel?

SBDJ, Thanks for your response. I believe in Cue I have it set to AUTO. I do not know about the Denon controller. I have to figure out how to check that. I just used it Saturday night for the first time. Thanks Rich

I do not think I have that enabled.

You should have an icon installed for it; failing that the ASIO config button from VDJ sound setup should also launch it.
Double check you don't have smart_play enabled too; on the options page IIRC.
