Just snagged one of these for $50 bucks. Any one ever use them? I figure the drivers alone were worth the price of admission lol

They are rated@400 watts continuous@4 ohms. the guy at the store said they sounded awesome, haven't fired them up yet at home though to see for myself. The cabinet weighs a ton though lol

Having a heavy cab is a good sign. It might be worth poping one of the drivers out and see what its loaded with. You might get a nice surprise. There are lots of smaller "ive never heard of them" companies who make great gear that gets passed over without a second thaught.

Well I lugged the bastard into the house, this thing has to weigh at least 150+ pounds. This cabinet is built like a tank. Upon further inspection it actually runs 1000watts program.

I just might have to take the drivers out & mount them into my old lighter cabinets just to get the damn things around.

Hi Rob
The only comments I have from seeing the cab is that the drivers look like they have roll foam surrounds. Great for deep uncoloured bass, but they can be fragile. The foam can degrade over time and has a tendency to split where it is attached to the cone and the chassis.
If they are in good nick it would be worth having a look to see if you can get a good cab design book and making a set of tuned cabs. Again some of the foam surround drivers can get upset if they are in a ported cab that is not tuned to them. If you use analogue vinyl at any point keep an eye out for extreme low frequency signals ( Not in the music but caused by the vinyl or warping) as these can cause massive cone movements. Its worth using a subsonic filter 20Hz or whatever to protect the drvers from this.
