Hey guys,

I've been using virtual dj a while now just on my pc without any extra hardware to mess around with songs, It's the first sort of mixing I've ever done and now I'm thinking about getting extra hardware to make it easier than fillding around with the mouse and keyboard.

What would be some good, yet cheap hardware to start with and give it a go?

Thanks Guys

Hercules recently put out their new DJ Control MP3 E2.
From what I hear it's a pretty good controller, feels nice and is also cheap £75. It will improve your mixing lots, by having hands-on controls. It's a good place to start. I haven't played with one yet, but the previous ones were nice.

You can look at it here http://www.thomann.de/gb/hercules_dj_control_mp3_e2.htm. As a bonus it also looks pretty.

DJ'n aint cheep, u either love it or hate it and if u love it you need to shell out on the equment, and it all depends on where you want to go, wether you love vinyl and want turntables or want CD decks either way both can be used with VDJ, so my advice to you is if you are serious about DJ'n save up and buy THE best decks and mixer you can and it will serve you well, and you wont need to upgrade because i made that mistake and brought a cheap hurcles consle, then a USB Mixer, now i have 2X Numark TT500 turntables and a DXM 09 mixer and i wont be upgrading any time soon, anyway just save up if ur serious and buy some decks and a mixer and a soundcard and use it that way :)

I took your advice in the first reply, read around for a few reviews and looked at some people using that on youtube. Looks pretty good so I've sent my order and it should be here in a couple of days! Can't wait to dive in!
