Topic: Game Show Scoring System

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am trying to find some sort of game show software that keeps score during a \"Name That Tune \" show. It will need 6 players and about 5 songs per game. I want to be able to manipulate the score on my pc with out the audience seeing it until I press enter. I have designed one in excel but I don\'t want the crowd to see the entire program on the big screens. Any help will be great. As always - Thanks!

Gary

PS: If I could figure out how to paste my excel example in here I would!

try copy and paste the text or put the page as an image into imageshack then post onto here.

Tayla;

Not sure how to save an Excel sheet as picture. Let me try to show what I am looking for.

The left column is the question number. The Top column is the player number (maybe name) When I add the points (positive or negative) Excel calculates the score in the bottom row. All this has to happen without the crowd seeing me doing this on the crowd display. They only see the scores when they are added.

1 2 3 4 5 6

1 10

2 10

3 10

4 -10

5 10

10 0 10

This of course will have the borders around all the fields. I can create the table in Excel and provide the formulas. My problem is trying to figure out how to manipulate the scores without the crowd seeing the "cloned" area I am working in. Not sure if this makes sense. Thanks

Gary

It didn't save like I hoped it would. Not all players would get points on each question. The total for each player would be totaled on the bottom row. I don't know how else to explain this. Or, if there is a diferent program I can use to do this.

hi mate, sorry can't help on your formula wouldn't know where to start, what i was trying to explain was

1. when you open message box to post go to your excel file left click and hold down on mouse drag over your page select copy then paste into here.

2. using snipping tool or print screen function take snap shot of page, then put image in say imageshack, then post into here.

hope i explained myself better for you, if you want you could pm me if that would be better.
