Sounds like you having a mapping problem. What version VDJ are you using?

It's VDJ 6.0.2...
What's the mapping problem?

Before we go there, Make u have the 400 powered before you turn on your computer.
open vdj
Go to config>mappers
Make sure your 400 shows in the device section.

Sounds like your sound setup in VDJ is possibly incorrect to me? What do you have on the sound setup tab?

- durdeesmurdee: I can see the CJ-400 on mapper's device section...

- SBDJ: On my sound setup section, I just plugged one CDJ to my laptop.. so it says Single Timecode.. and soundcard it's ASIO4All v2....
And on Timecode Config... it's VDJ v5 Vinyl....

Turn timecode off. CDJ400 can be used as straight MIDI, no timecode needed.

Do you have the USB button pressed and illuminated on each unit? Then make sure you have "None" selected in "Inputs", "External Mixer" in "Outputs" and "ASIO" or "2 Cards" with Pioneer CDJ400s in the dropdown.

If you don't have "ASIO" download it at www.asio4all.com. It's not absolutely necessary but I have found it to be superior to the "2 Cards" choice. I think it sounds better and is less problematic, meaning it works everytime, whereas "2 Cards" doesn't always work (in my experience using VDJ with CDJ-400s).

DJ RuDe:
Yes, I've already downloaded ASIO4All.. I just bought my Numark X6 mixer.. so I connected all of them to each other, and my CDJs to my laptop... I selected NONE for the INPUT.. and EXT MIX for OUTPUT... However still just can't 'Play' it.. even if i try clicking on software.. it doesnt play..

You have configured ASIO4ALL haven't you?

You have configured ASIO4ALL haven't you?

I just downlaoded and installed... and then it was on my VDJ.. How would I configure it?

You need to configure it and tell it what soundcards to use I guess. I don't have it installed since I don't need it, but I'm sure someone who does will be able to tell you more precisely.

Ok guys. I will check the ASIO again.. and will let you know..

Thank you all of you!
