Topic: Responsivness

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have bought a Maya 44 USB soundcard and linked my Denon DNS 1000 to VDJ. It doesnt seem that responsive. There is a delay of around a second. I am using the consumer grade timecode. Could this be why? Or would it work better if i linked 2 CD decks to it?

It's very dependant upon what your sound setup is.

For the best latency, you need to be using ASIO in the VDJ sound setup. Set the VDJ latency to "Auto" then use the Maya44 control panel to use the lowest latency your system can cope with.

how do you change you latency setting like on virtual dj 5.2 i had mines on 800-900 but one virtual dj they took that setting off why

The latency setting in VDJ is in exactly the same place it has been for quite some time; the performances tab in config. If you're using ASIO though, this should be set to Auto and the latency controlled by the soundcards ASIO drivers.

in the shortcuts it would say something like set_scratchlatency on deck one 6.0 version dont have that on the list
