Not sure if this has been brought up. If so, please point me in the correct direction gently. :)
I am having fun w/ samples that loop (not the looper).
Now if I load a track that is 130bpm and also load a sample into same deck, the sample will play it's own speed until I start play the track.
How do I encourage the sampler to assume the bpm of the loaded track?
Once figured out, will help me create my own remixes that need intros.
Right now, I am going to assign to the play_pause and cue buttons a 'shift var' to play both the track and sampler and of course cue stop as well.

Haven't found a way yet, wish it could do that. Think Mix Vibes does? Someone will chime in if I am wrong:) I wish VDJ would save loops, but there is another thread For/Against it. It looks like the the people are that against it won, since it was not included in the newest version :( I realize there is alot of coding involved, the software for the price and tons of upgrades, is great for what it does, but nothing to complain about :) IMO

There is a trick you can use to accomplish this; use the sampler on a seperate channel. Then you can have the track playing but with the level down and the sampler will assume that bpm.
As you can see from the changelog 6.0.1/6.0.2 were intended as a bug-fix releases; no real new features were added - hence something like loop saving wouldn't even have been considered for these release.

Ok, I think there is miss understanding here (she really is quite pretty).
I took a track from Bobby Morganstein's collection that was called '4 on the floor' disco beat and made a 4 beat sample saved as a loop. It is about 115bpm.
For example, Barbie Girl starts off w/ dialog and no beat. It is 128bpm (Ii think). So with both loaded on same player, I start the sampler playback. Then start the track. The sampler switches gears and gets in time w/ the track.
Now, my question... can this be avoided? Is there a magic setting - even in vdjscript?
Thanks!

In the first post you wanted the sampler to sync to the track. In the latter post it reads you don't?
Surely in your scenario, if 128bpm matches the vocal, then you'd want the sampler to lock to that bpm. Are you asking if the sampler can be locked without the track playing? If so, my suggested method does work - but is a definate kludge.

Thanks!
By avoiding I meant allow the desired result - sync'd sampler and track w/o having the sample catch up.
I'll try your thoughts and see what happens.

I understood what ewitles meant.
Currently there is no way to assign a playback BPM to the samples, other than have them sync to a deck.
Apparently in older VDJ versions, the samples would sync to whichever one was played first - but it doesn't do that any more.
A 'sample BPM' option would be very useful, with ability to set it to either deck (playing or not) or set it manually.
Then you could do things like double/half tempo.

A sample BPM option will be GREAT!!! you can assign it to some loops , and leave the drops alone.
I would also like a louder sampler that matches with the volume on the decks.
