Hi,
Installed verion 6 which is gain improved a lot!!
I have two xp10 controllers and trying to assign a button where i can sort my songs on camelot key and bpm.
So you see 1A songs with bpm going up., 2A songs with bpm increasing etc.
In V6 with the latest V2.1 registry tool the sortorder looks to me random, tried 7 to sort it on key or 6 on bpm, but it makes no sense.
In the mapper I assigned a key to browser_sort bpm or browser_sort key, also no logic result.
When you try the learn mode in mapper it does not respond when i click on a colum in the browser. If I click on something else it does work.
To me it looks like a bug.
Anyone an idea??

Directly use the new columns in the browser "bpm diff" and "key diff"
You can even define a filter folder to customize what you want

Thanks good tip.
I created a virtual folder;
keydiff<1 and BPMdiff<11 and comment contains FFM and filepath starts with "M:\90's" or filepath starts with "M:\Disco" or filepath starts with "M:\12 inch"
You only have give the command recurse_folder after you loaded a song on the deck. The virtual folder is not refreshed automatically.

Hi,
Still struggling with the mapper
When I assign a key to the following
holding ? browser_sort key diff : browser_sort bpm diff
The result is that the songs are re-sorted but not logical and not the same as if i click on the colum.
When I try it for autor or title it is oke not for bpm, key or bpm diff key diff.
A bug??

I am having the same problem, but on the Mac side so this looks like a cross-platform issue. Can someone form Atomix please respond to this? If it's a bug, would you acknowledge it, or are we simply putting the wrong terms between the quotes? The documentation just says "etc." but nowhere else in documentation are these terms defined, so I'm not sure I'm using the correct ones.
mapper sort command results:
browser_sort "bpm" = no result
browser_sort "artist" = no result
browser_sort "title" = some results, but they don't make sense
browser_sort "genre" = no result

In version 5.2.1 I managed to sort on two columns;
First sort on Key(numeric) and second on BPM, by setting sort order and forced sort in registry.
In this way it is easy to scroll through and pick the right song with the same key and minimum BPM difference.

No good for me, sadly. I'm on a Mac. This really needs to be fixed on both platforms. I'm going to try to examine what commands the skin transmits (if they are included in the xml code at all) and see if I can't find a more precise way to sort by any of the columns. I really want this functionality on my controller mapper.

No luck. There is nothing related to "sort" in the skin xml, so the the function is built into the program (as is the bug when using the controller commands). Now we must all wait and hope this gets fixed.

I wanted to bump this post since I have the same issue. It's got to be a bug which needs fixing.
I tried to map "CTRL+T" to (browser_sort "Title") and if it does anything it sorts the songs in some strange order. Most of the time it does nothing. This is also true with (browser_sort "BPM") and (browser_sort "Artist"). Basically any (browser_sort).
I've tried this with Filtered Folders and Regular Folders.

Agreed. I have the same experience. Only a physical mouse click on the column header has any useful result.

Hi everyone, acording to your post. i have the same problem. Recently update from version 5 to 6 , for the broser sort everything work great in vdj5 but it seem that the version 6 only working if you ad browser_sort author. Yesterday i chat with the team and we try many command, and option, including in the registry, but after 2 hours of work nothing work excep. sort by author. The team work on this bug and probably fix it in the next update . or post a answer soon, i already post the same bug in the french forum but nobody can answer my question, if somebody have an answer please leave a post on that one. thank you for your effort. In french the post was Raccourci browser sort bpm
