Does anybody know how to place a media player on a web site that plays mp3s and video? if so ,where would i get one, what format would the video be? can a playlist be created on site. and lastly how much would it cost. (i'm doing this myself and i could'nt find any threads that cover this.) i've seen playlist.com, that's not it. frankly i'm stumped:)

I'm not sure of any services which exist for this, but if you fancy a DIY solution (which will give you the best quality and cheapest price) you can check out the JW Video Player.

The player is free but you will need to convert your videos manually. You can either use a free software such as ffmpeg or a paid one such as what comes with Adobe Flash. You'll need to learn some javascript to allow dynamic playlists and will need to host all the content yourself. The videos would be in either flv or mp4 (ipod/mobile phone compatible), the choice is upto you.

thanks andrew, this looks like something i can work with.
