Topic: Trackend Warning

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I wonder if anyone can tell me a way to activate a trackend warning in VDJ Pro?
Something like flashing timedisplay or waveform turns to red

Best regards
Dirk

well the skin mixlab 3.1 does that but i dnt think that skin is available anymore..it would flash to warn you..:(..

I use the DN-HC4500 controller with jpboggis mapper. With that you can set the time of both warnings and also the speed the display flashes. Very helpful indeed!

Its possible in skins yes... some skins have it..

The new turntablism for example

old 3.4 skin has that in track progression bar (or whatever its called) just below the waveform, but i think i might have a simpler solution...

just tell her to bring her knee-pads to the after party, and focus on what you're being paid to do.

i don't mean that in a mean way, i just figured it would be easier.

if you are worried about a song ending on you turn on automix, but that kinda defeats the object of DJing.......well to be honest if you need reminding to change the song youre probably not trying very hard at DJing in the first place lol

try sticking a postit on the screen saying 'remember to actualy play next song'

serato itch had that feature and i found it annoying , well not annoying but funny. I was thinking i am the one that played the song why are you yelling at me that it is about to end????

but honestly it helped when i was scrabling for the next song to set up, but again that was due to itch only having 3 cue points.

sorry, i thought, i could find a virtual dj pro user who can give me a short help...
funny answers are wrong in this place :-(

You got both actually, what more can one want :)

But to explain a bit further, the software itself does not have that function!
It can be made with a skin engine for a particular skin, but it is not a feature
that can be switched on/off within software options, sorry. As dj-in-norway
suggested, try the turntablism skin which has that option.

ok.. i could take this skin.... but I'm actually happy with my dn HC4500 skin....

I only want to know, if one of you can help me programming the midi controller...
With the denon hc4500 mapper, the function trackend is installed, but I want to change the time for warning...
with the mapper it begins 10 seconds before end , 30 seconds would be better..

did u ask about mapping the midi??..maybe if u get your questions right then we can answer them right dont u think..:D..

ok.... let me try it again...

i'm looking for a way to show me a trackend warning...
# it could be a skin ( but I'm happy with my skin)
# it could be a changing of parameters in the vdj software
# or it could be a modification of the denon mapper from the forum
# or at last any other way to show me the end of the track within the next 30 seconds

i hope you understand my question, but my english is not so good.....
best regards
Dirk

You can change it via the user parameters ('Warn #1 Time' and 'Warn #2 Time') - I've replied to your PM with instructions on how to do this

Guys, its NOT a silly thing to ask for.

Almost all DJ hardware has a flashing indictator that will flash up, when the song reach near end.

Thank you JP.....
and thank you ...... norway
