This Charismatic DJ from the Boogie Down Bronx, NY has been true to the game since age 13, where he got his start using his cousin's belt drive, straight arm turntables until he was able to afford his own set of Tech 12's wit a Gemini mixer before the replaceable crossfader came out! It was his way to become a part of the party, instead of playing him the wall, because of his two left feet! Yet that idea flourished into a career that has lasted nearly 3 decades and still going strong to date!
The mix monster, known for his “NEVER FEAR THE MIXER” mentality, who spins everything from opera to hip hop, which he has done it all, from the basic house parties to the hottest clubs in the world to becoming one of the most respected DJ's on internet radio and just recently, he was the anchor to creating the greatest collaboration for a mix-tape ever, where 22 DJ's came together for Virtual DJ Radio presents ON THE GRIND (The Mix-tape). Where they stated, 22 DJ's with 1 mission 2 rock the world and they did exactly what they set out to do!
Using everything from Turntables, keyboards, reel 2 reels, Cassette tapes, CDJ's, Consoles, even his crazy 2 step dances and whatever he could get his hands on to make sure that his crowds always have an AWESOME experience to remember for ages to come at any event he is the DJ to this day! Today DJ Coach K aka The Mix Monster is one part of the Dust'n Dreamz Off Entertainment Family that Consist of The Legendary DJ EZ Rock (It Takes Two Fame) and the greatest promoter in the game, P the Don! Also the head of DJ's Against Diabetes (D.A.D), which is a division of the nonprofit organization, Hip Hop fights Diabetes where their mission is to educate everyone in the hip hop community on diabetes!
During his time as a DJ, he has not only watched the game change, but has embraced the major changes within the industry and some 27 Years and counting later, you can say that The Mix Monster didn't make it a hobby or a career, nor a religion, he made being a DJ a way of life for himself!
