Whats up guys....I recently took in a partner with my DJ business and want to know if I can download my version of Virtual DJ on my partner's laptop just in case my laptop crashes or we are working 2 gigs in the same night and he needs his laptop at that gig? Is that allowed with Virtual DJ or am I going to have spend another $300?

You are allowed to have VDJ installed on 2 and only 2 computers with the purchase of a single license.
Any more than that you must buy another license (copy of the software)

Your partner will need to purchase their own license for VirtualDJ.
Please see the End User License Agreement: http://www.virtualdj.com/atomixproductions/disclaimer.html
You are granted one license to:
- install and use the Software on one computer.
- install and use the Software on a second computer, if this computer is normally used by the same person and the Software will not be used on both computers at the same time.
- make back-up copies of the Software for archival purposes.
This license does NOT allow you to:
- rent, lease, sell, lend, distribute, publish, bundle or sublicense the Software or any part of it.
- rent, lease, sell, lend or distribute hardware on which the Software is installed, unless specifically authorised by Atomix.
- electronically transfer the Software from one computer to another or over a network.
- decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise reduce the Software to a human-perceivable form.
- modify the Software or create derivative works based upon the Software.

Your partner will need to purchase a license ,but this will alllow each of you to have your gig machine
and a home or backup ,,really isn't that what you need anyhow?
VDJ is a whole lot kinder than Microsoft or most any other software company ,most require a liscense
for each machine and often it is not transferable
Best to You
