this is THE Z-TRIP. the guy that got this whole "mash-up" thang going. he does it all LIVE, and very well. you owe it to yourself to check it out. this shits free, and it really doesnt get fresher than this........................................why are you still reading this?.........................

!

Agreed, no one does it fresher than Z-trip. 3 turntable madness for sure. These record company, contrived mash-ups are so whack. The word mash-up is whack too. Z-trip even hates it when people call them mash-ups.

Very very good ...you can do the same and much more with vdj and a lot of practice.....
but for vinyl this guy is amazing..... very clean.
Best Regards
Andre

Yeah, Z is The Best DJ ever.

anewsome : i was gonna put down that Z hates the term Mash-Up, but....
he would rather call them blends

DJ Andre Landry : i would like to see someone try to do better. the blends Z uses are not just thrown together. these are all well thought out mixes/blends/sets. he uses a pioneer EFX 500 for alot of this stuff, so he has all the fancy real time effects. plus, he actually has all these records, and not just MP3s.

take his blend of pat benatars "Love is a battlefield" instrumental on top pharcydes "she keeps passin me by" accapella as heard on this set

that blend makes alot of sense, and flows very well.

another - radioheads "reasonable man" lyrics on top of tone locs "wild thing"??????????
taken from -

SICK

another - outkasts "bombs over baghdad" lyrics over tools "sober" instrumental

taken from - Live in LA

i could go on and on, i dont want to ruin any of these, but i think i have to explain myself better. he does all of this mixing LIVE. this is all first take.

i honestly dont know ANY DJs that can rock the house better. he has too much talent, and if you have the ear for it, you Notice It

im glad you guys enjoyed the free beats. My man Vlad dropped the new webspace for Z, so thank him

I did he is very good and i can hear it live......but there is always room for improvement in anything....
If this dude would use vdj he could have so much more potential...think about the speed we select a song...
the quantity of music gives you endless possibilities
I think dj get down proved that time coded vinyl is pretty hot,now add a seperate keyboard for your samples and you can actually remix songs live.....not just blend, create music with music
Dont get me wrong Z is really hot and mixes well..but i noticed a couple of song he mixed off key(means the beat fits but the music doesnt)ex C chord with D chord do not go together)
So there you have it proof that there can be room for improvement.
The future involves virtualdj...mark my words
With practice anybody can mix(well allmost anybody)
Best regards
Andre

=)

its all good. i think im coming off too harsh.

Z-Trip is by far my favorite DJ.

if you want to hear a mix from a producer, check this out. its by Osymyso.

it covers 101 songs in 11 minutes. thats not a typo. 101 songs in 10-11 minutes.

I don't have time right now too listen, but who could diss Z-trip. Haven't heard anything from VDJ beating his work. VxLeSTaTxV good to hear from you again. This guy rocks. Q-Bert is another King.

I guess i was not clear i did not dis anyone sorry you dont understand the message
Andre

it's all good

My fault...I took he could do it better with VDJ as...I've never heard anyone with VDJ do anything near what he's doing. And let's be real..it is not all vinyl he uses. Sample machines etc..are no different then digital software.
