Topic: Gemini Groove - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Anybody know anything about this ? Or am I the only one seeing the resemblance?

Has VDJ teamed up with Gemini as well?? Or have they just ripped off your code? 'Coz it's looking to da*n close to VDJ to not have it's engine underneath...
(Look at the waveforms, CBG, Browser etc)
Not that there's anything wrong with this, it's going to help spread the word about VDJ even more ;)

Btw, the pics are courtesy of Skratchworx.com (if you don't know this page you should most definitely check it out, since it's one of the best resources for dj-gear news)

COmpaq Reverse-Engenired the P.C from IBM.

I can see that happening with software as well.

Does look similar though doesn't it?

First image seems to be VDJ, running a skin from Gemini.

But the second image is their software, and its NOT VDJ :)

Although they seem inspired by VDJ...

Well do ya blame them ;)

How can that not be a reskinned VDJ, it even sez home edition in the top left (makes me chuckle).

Striking resemblence innit lol,

Is it me,

but doesn't look cheap and Tacky, Look at the text on the skin, straight out of the 80's.

isnt that like fraud misadvertising or somthing?

If Gemini licensed VDJ from Atomix (like Numark and PCDJ has) thats cool!
But if they're just playing copy-cat I'm smelling a law-suit coming along...hehe

If it's not a skin they've stolen the code lol, every feature looks the same, and presented the same.

Teaming up with Gemini wouldn't be the best idea either, might start getting a reputation.

^-^-^
Exactly my point! Even if it was VDJ i don't think Britney would be crazy enough to buy anything with a Gemini name on it.

Done some googling around a the price of this VirtualDJ rip off, sorry this new Gemini Groove software should be $100 and it is out in May.

There is no such thing between Gemini and VDJ, and the marketing done by them could be taken to court yes.

But lets see if they keep up wrongful advertisement...

Smells fishy if you ask me :-|

Does anybody have any more info on this?

Its a new software from Gemini, crap says those who tired it.

They used VDJ at screenshots for their promo, illegaly.

it has nothing to do with vdj

VDJ will eat it alive.

Ok, so it has nothing to do with VDJ what so ever??
I don't think Atomix should take this matter to lightly then....

We arent... keepin an eye on this one
