Ape is a absolutely lossless audio compression format. That means that you can decode it back to wave and it
will be exactly the same, bit for bit.

If the codec is installed on your computer you might be able to add it manually in the
settings > codecs option. Reading this post tells me that FLAC codec has better tolerance
for errors (missing/wrong bytes), thus I'd suggest using that. Again manual "installation"
can be done in settings > codecs option.
