Topic: Simple "cut" function - (push on, release) [SOLVED]

For anyone that's done real beatmixing and clubs etc, you may be familiar with this technique. To achieve a cut up broken effect in time with the beat, DJs often use the souce switch at the top of each mixer channel (phono/line toggle).

I know there are various effects and plugins available now for VDJ but what I'm looking for is a simple push of a button to mute a deck. For example - press and hold "q", audio on deck one mutes - release "q" and the audio fires up again. "Q" would control deck 1, another key controls deck 2 (customisable, of course).

If anyone understands what I'm saying, then a) is this already possible and if not then b) is it doable?

You should try Cut effect by Clax or you can assign a shortcut for volume faders in VDJ.

Absolutely perfect! In fact, t's an even beter effect now i've assigned the mids kill to a key instead.
