Please read the manual.

redfordxx

i've just read the guide pages 1 - 35 and i can't see that section that you have been so politely told to look for, instead of being told it means it has been beatmapped and is good for automix, or am i missing a point here marius, hope it helps you...

Tayla

Thanks Tayla,

@Marius: I read the manual, but not thoroughly. When I had this question, I searched the User Guide for various keywords, read parts where I expected it to be and didn't find anything. I know that there are more important things missing in the manual, so I thought it is not there...

And I still didnot find it.

so it is something like reliability of the BPM estimation?

Sorry redfordxx no email address is allowed from a demo user

Yes, if it has star after scan it means that BPM is correct and you can use it, otherwise you can use different scan engine or tap manually.

It doesnt mean that BPM is correct.. . Because most tracks have right BPM, but no asterix.

It means the track has been well made out for AUTOMIX

thats all ;)

Oooooookay

so basicly it says there is BPM value, there are all entry and exit points set. But does not say anything about the quality of the settings...

Correct?

Correct:)

It only says that the file is analyzed well for automix ;)

If you dont use automix, the * has no meaning

Not true, It helps me sometimes for house music, if there is no * than BPM is not calculated properly. I use Any music engine to correct it or manual tap.

To me, * came out as it did not calculate the bpm properly cos maybe the track is incomplete or the tempo is not usually set in the constant. (ever changing ) Or maybe the track being recorded without using the metronome so there could be uneven tempo n thus create that * that the file need to be corrected:)

Yes and that too, if the bpm is changing it can confuse VDJ. Well, it is just a machine ;)

DAMMIT JIM! I am not a machine, I'm only a doctor.

we only strive for perfection, resistance is futile...(never mind seven i'd give her o.........)

In my song list, there is a yellow question mark. Some of the songs come out with the bpms. Does anybody know a way I can have the question marks cleared.

That means that those tracks are not analyzed yet, just scanned them and question marks will be gone.

Well, when we are discussing this all...
What does ! next to time/length mean?

Already explained many times, search forum a bit.

i looked in the table of contents, it's not on pg 5

i searched the forum if you use ! alone you get 30 pages of hits

if you use ! and length / ! or length you get 7 pages ........

i looked around more in the manual no luck.....

i know in Traktor that means you need to relocate that track ,they have a right click to invoke a relocation procedure ......

sure was dull readin' that again alf although it did seem familiar it didn't really grow on me , ya know ?
