Topic: Numark Total Control - Can it scroll and select tracks?

Hi

The Total Control should be out over the next 2 or 3 weeks. Does anybody know whether it has the facility to scroll through a track list and then select/load a track into the VDJ deck? Or do you still have to touch the Computer touchpad to do that?

Seem to be answering my own post.

I've looked closer at a high res photo and it looks like the large knob in the middle of the controller, just above the crossfader will scroll through the lists and then can be loaded into decks by the ;buttons below.

So can DJ without touching the laptop.

All we need now is a laptop with a built in controller on top instead of a normal keyboard. Could always plug in a keyboard into a USB port.

 
Or something that is flat enough to slot over the laptop keyboard. I've tried using the nagvational buttons on the Herc, but I still prefer my wireless USB mouse for control (although replacing batteries is a pain).
 
where are the navigational buttons on hercules? Can you scroll and select tracks? I am a new user and was looking for this function.

You can scroll for folders and songs but it is very slow ( not as responsive ) as a mouse type of movement.

click, click, click, push, over to the right, click, click, --- well you get the picture

I would say about 30-40 of my folder have about 50-70 songs in them. This process could take a long time to search.

Even after you analized your drive, you still have have to search on global and click with Hercules.

I think most of us are in a habit of typing and moving with mouse... and use the hercules for major functions.

Yes, the jog wheels are very close together so I have to think before I move which is not a big deal in the scheme of things.

Some skins have a nudge / scratch button... use what works best for you.
 
Does anybody knows if Total Control will be available for purchase over VDJ Webpage like TVC's ?
