DJ Angel S> all depneds on what your going to do with the edirol v4 video mixer. There are hookups on that for your video as well.

Now if you have Edirol V4 (Retail is $999.US) How come your not a licensed user?

I have no problem purchasing the software. Like I said in previous post I have a pioneer rig already and I am looking into purchasing the right software for a new dj rack I am purchasing. So dont be quick to assume that I am cheap. Which I am not. I just want the next software I buy to hopefully be the last one or atleast be one that will cater my current needs with the option of expanding in the future.
I have been using BPM Studio Pro and most recently VDMX which is extremely reliable but dont offer video yet and probally never will. So instead of being quick to judge consider that not every one is trying to get over. I really am considering purchasing virtual dj I just not sure if it the right solution for me. I have mix feelings base on feedback from current users on other post about the lack of support on certain issues as well as having certain reliablity of being stable. So I am not buying until I am confident that it will be stable enough and capable of doing what I need it to do.

Now can someone explain to me how I can get virtual to come out my desktop via S video or component. And what steps are needed to accomplish this.

You need to activate a secondary monitor on your existing desktop. Before booting up your machine, connect your s video cable to your graphics output and into your external source.

Then, boot up your machine, and when you're ready to go, go into desktop properties (right click on the desktop or Control Panel) and go into display settings. Right click on the second monitor and click 'Attached'. The second monitor should come to life.

You may also need to click 'Extend my windows desktop to this display' as well.

When in VDJ, go into the Config panel and select Video. In the drop down box, select your graphics card as the output, not the 'Window' selection. Load a track/video or whatever and press play. You should see something rather nice happening on your external monitor.

Good luck...and keep spinnin'...(",)

Sorry...just realised you had a V4. Not sure if this is correct after all...:o| D'OH!!!

Is it maybe just a case of S Video out of your pc into the S Video input of the V4 and then Svideo output of V4 to external source???

It should still work, I dont neccessary need to use the v4 I just need to know how to project the image out to another monitor (TV or projector)
I will give this a try
Thanks Pionara

No problem. My first post should work for external monitor connection.

Let us know how you get on...both ways...:o)

Let's forget about the V4 for now, because you will not have an option to use it for it's full potential. Come out of your video card DVI to your monitor. The other output should have several options, S video, component or composite. You pick the one that will work best with your projector. Connect to the projector, BEFORE YOU BOOT. Now boot up. Configure in Windows or your video cards menu, for dual output. In VDJ>config>video>video output put a check in the activate box. In the TV Output puldown, you should have 2 options. Window or your video card, select your card. Put a check in the use hardware acceleration, Decode while hidden, Activate on load, hide Logo, and use this plugin for audio-only files boxes. If you don't have the Sonique plug ins, forget that last box. Say OK. Load a video into a player, make sure the video mixer is set to that player. Now, you should be ready. This will show you how stable VDJ is. If you have another video source, you can use the V4. Just connect that source to one imput, and Video card output to the other input, and your projector to the output of the V4.

Thanks I will give this a try as well.

What you have to do is find in you video card control panel the dual view, span , or clone and slect dual.
