Topic: How do you enable "Mix Tempo", and get it to stay?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've been learning as much as I can from the trial version, as I wait for funds to purchase the real thing.

Anyway, I discovered how to set Entry and Exit points manually, but I can't figure out how to get it to use the Mix Tempo option. I was initially editting entry and exit points on two songs, and now it seems if I load those two songs and do automix, it mixes based on those entry/exit points, and matches tempo wonderfully. So I've been editting entry/exit points on some other tracks, but if I load them, I can't get them to Mix Tempo. I click the BPM button, and click in the "Mix Temp" circle, but when I click "OK", it defaults back to "Mix Fade".

Being that I am an newbie, I'm sure I just have something in the settings wrong, or I am just missing something altogether.

Anyway, if someone could help me out, I would appreciate it. The more I dig into this software, the more great features I find :)

Okay, I answered my own question, I think. You use that edit box to get everything setup right, including entry/exit points, make sure the wide dot lines up with the 1st beat of the phrase, and make sure BPM is right for each song you want to edit this way. Then when done editing all of these songs, you have to close down virtual DJ completely, then restart to refresh the database. Then playing the songs in Automix will beatmatch perfecting, providing your entry/exit points are set correctly.
