Topic: I NEED A GOOD NAME...( DJ NAME GENERATOR INSIDE.. ;) - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I know this is a corny question...but I have to tell you I have people coming to me asking me what name I use to DJ with...and to be honest I don't use one....everyone else in the world...or at least all the ones I know have one.....

My name is Eric...some friends call me choch...but DJ choch doesnt sound interesting enough...I want my CDs to have a good name....

any suggestions?

more and more djs use their real name...

Dj Eric is good.. :) Or make some variation of your name... Say your name is Eric Anderson >> Dj Eric A... or DJ E-AY.. or anything your mind can come up with ;)

Or something that reflects your style of music... Like Dj Soul Food would be nice for soulfull house, and Dj Trancelactic for trance... etc;)

I like E-AY even though my last name begins with an L...im trying..Im mush better at mixing music thanthinking of a good name...go figure

yea some of the names are a bit corned up....they gave me "Cory Solid" and "B-side"...they dont fit me..Ill keep tryin
 
I got B side too. That shit sucks. I think a name is something people will give you like a nickname u already have n maybe switch it up abit. So to the guy who started this post, DJ Choch or DJ E ain't bad. Make your name don't let the name make you.

Using your name or a variation of your name is always a good way to go. If you saddle youself with a cornball name, you will be stuck with it forever. Plus stay away from using any kind of trademarked name within your name. For instance, a fellow DJ friend of mine who most of your may have heard of here in the Chicago area used to be named DJ Smurf. When he made it big, the people who actually owned the Smurf name sent him a cease and desist. He now just goes by Dan Morrel.

Don't force a nickname - either you have one or you don't. You'll just look like a poser if you name yourself. Has anyone called you anything your on the decks? Or does anyone have a nickname for you
 
Well my name is Ben. Im slightly larger than the average person. So "Phatt B" lol
