Topic: unaffected pitch fader even after syncing 100 bpm to a 130 bpm song
I love fine pitch mixing on my pitch fader, but as I'm open format and I do a lot of mashups, I have to keep my pitch fader at 25%. So what if VDJ instead made it to where the pitch does not affect my pitch fader jump up, and I can still have my pitch fader at 8% or whatever the preference of that DJ even after the pitch fader is moved

i have asked in Ultra Pitch in vdj, but this would be better than that

And, if you sync a 100 BPM to a 130 BPM track while pitch range is set at 8% what should the pitch slider do ?
  • Sit at 0% ?
  • Go to +8% ?
  • Disappear ?

And most importantly: What should the software do should you move the pitch slider ?
  • Jump to current value ?
  • Wait to (never) catch up ?
  • Move relatively ?

I think I can give you a better solution:
Turn on "autoPitchRange" setting.
Then open your KEYBOARD mapper and find the <ONSONGLOAD> key
Enter this in the mapping: pitch_range 8% deck

This means that every time you load a track on a deck, the pitch range will "reset" to 8% for that deck.
However, if you press sync or use another function that requires greater pitch, the pitch range will automatically adjust (increase) until the next time you load the deck

I think I can give you a better solution:
    Turn on "authe toPitchRange" setting.

so if let's say the hip hop track jumps from 100 to 130. the pitch will be able to move down to - 8 (so 122) or up to + 8, so 138 for example . (sry for the bad typing lol) it would act like the song naturally sat at that speed

also thank you for that mapping, tho i will put that on my Rane One mk2 right away but not realy what i was talking about

It would, in a way act like this old Vestax but no need for a ultra pitch cuse vdj would do it and leave my pitch fader at the pitch i choise (which witch is like the sl 1200)

That's what "controllertakeovermodepitch" settings does when set to "relative"

ok so Serato DJ pitch n time does not act in that manner not act that way. The moment i touched the pitch control, it kicked up 10 bpm there was no fine pitching mixing there sadly. where sdj does not. it did not do that . im going to move a video later after i dj tonight at a b day party ... tho i do thank you for telling me about the pitch modes i didnt know they where there

i added a mapping to parmetter pitch -5% and pitch +5% tho i cant figure out how to to hold it and continue each action
