I said it in another thread earlier, but I had success reinstalling Windows 11 from scratch rather than use what was already on the laptop's drive when I got it. Download Windows 11 from Microsoft, put it on a USB stick, and install. It was a bit of a pain as I had to work around not having Wi-Fi drivers during the installation, but worth it.
I haven't used the laptop enough with VDJ yet to be 100% sure it has no issues, but DPC latency is significantly lower now before I reinstalled, and in the dozens of hours of use I haven't had any pops, crackles, or buzzing. I don't want to endorse this particular model because of the low usage, but so far so good.

@PHILW How is that laptop working out? Done any gigs with it? Got rid of the pops, crackles and drop outs? And the big question... What is the laptop because I'm still yet to find one that works with any DJ software! It seems no matter what CPU, GPU, RAM and money spent no new windows laptop can handle audio with out huge DPC latency issues and I don't do Apple! Anyone found a new flawless laptop yet? Help!!
Cheers all 👍

I haven't yet, which is why I've mostly been lurking on the new laptop threads.

My work computer CPU is AMD Z1E. Previously, the DPC was as high as 3800. After reinstalling the system many times, the adjustment was still the same. Finally, I found that many of them were caused by the search option in the task manager. So I turned off the search so that the search option no longer appeared in the task manager, and then followed the previous steps to optimize my work computer. Finally, I achieved the goal of adjusting the DPC. Now the DPC is up to 337. It's very good. You can learn from it, but remember to make a backup before. If you have problems after following my instructions, I will not be responsible. The following is how to turn off the search method copied from the website. You can learn from it. It is in Chinese, so please translate it:
通过注册表禁用win11搜索
1. 打开注册表编辑器
按住Win + R键,输入“regedit”并按回车键,打开注册表编辑器。
2. 定位到相关键值
在注册表编辑器中,依次展开以下路径:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search
I personally think it is necessary to delete Windows Defender and use other security software with small footprint. The second is to delete small components, which is also very necessary. After that, you can optimize your DPC according to previous experience. I will follow the tutorial below. If you don’t know how to optimize, you can refer to it.

Below is the DPS result of my test for 28 minutes. It is very stable.

Is it me or does it feel like DJs who have these issue are using Denon or Numark controllers? i say it as i do not recall anyone with a Pioneer controller mentioning similar? This could well be associated to the drivers required to use those specific controllers and them not being fully optimized in W11.
I mean most newer gen laptops should be able to run VDJ just fine with minimal tweaks and i find it wild that people are having to buy and send back multiple different laptops which look great spec on paper.
As others have mentioned i would not read DPC values as the be and end all of what will work and what will not. I have had my Dell Inspiron 7620 Plus for over 2 years and its works flawlessly, its never let me down once. I use a range of different controllers (mostly XDJ's) or CDJ club setups, but all have been Pioneer for me. Do i get DPC spikes now and again, of course i do, but it has never affected performance or the audio for me ever.
So this issue could simply be that some manufacturer drivers are simply not playing well with W11.
Would very interesting if someone was to downgrade their OS where they have issue in W11 back to W10 and see if there is any improvement. I will hedge a bet and say yes.

I've suggested this before as I have tested Denon drivers on several laptops and have had pops clicks or sound cutting off altogether. I've had to return a few despite the specs technically being more than enough. Denon maintain the drivers are fine. Others say there is not an issue.
In my personal experience this has been an issue since the HC4500 and Sony Vaio laptops where a laptop will either work well or not at all and the current Denon drivers are basically the same ones from 15 years ago repackged for current controllers.
People like Groovindj say this is not the case but it is for me.
It seems to be worse on Windows 11.

There's the Denon DJ forum too. I don't know how many registered users there are, but relatively few reports of driver issues there.

2 years ago, I had very similar issues (new Acer Open laptop), and finally updating Bios and creating a new power plan solved the issue. Last night I got a new Windows update and the issue started again... extreme lagging (not just VDJ) etc. Uninstalling the update didn't help. I will try to figure out and keep u posted.

Have you tried to do a system restore and see if that helps? Its also worth checking what update got applied and what it fixed? Worth bearing in mind windows updates now feature drivers as well, i've seen a bad driver on the GPU cause a change in performance and rolling back to an older version can help.

What seems to work is:
- download a version of Windows directly from Microsoft
- install this from USB
It is not that difficult, albeit that I had to install the SSD driver first.
Result: a "clean" Windows 11 version without bloatware etc. No more issues with crackling & popping sounds (for the moment) or spikes in the GPU use.
I will keep you posted.

I've just updated from a 4th gen intel i5 an rtx 3060 gpu desktop that ran stems 2.0 and virtual dj like a dream. I've kept the 3060 gpu for running stems and bought a Beelink mini pc the gti13 with the ex dock for the rtx 3060 gpu to connect to.
Coming from a 4th gen desktop which is well over 10 years old. The thing is a beast compared. The beelink runs the laptop version of the intel i9 and had no issues with virtual dj at all.
I will say the key is a clean install of windows, I still run a surface pro with 4th gen i5 and 4 gig ram and it also has no issues with virtual dj obviously no stems 2.0 on that one. All my computers that I've used for virtual have been basic windows install no bloat at all.

My DJ is linked to CDJ + DJM. Before my work computer had DPC optimized, I went to work in a nightclub with very old DJ equipment. DJM2000 + CDJ2000 would encounter ASIO sound card problems, such as sound tearing or direct white noise. After optimizing DPC, these ASIO problems disappeared, so it can be seen that DPC optimization is still very helpful.
