Hello all. Hoping I'm missing something obvious here:
In b8314 and b8322, I have songs that have elements missing when the songs have prepared stems, even when all stems are enabled and stem EQ knobs in the middle. Deleting the prepared stems and reloading the track causes it to play as normal. Preparing stems and reloading causes some elements to drop in volume as if they are being affected by stems (but all stems are enabled).
My apologies for the recordings of a screen in the following clips. In this video I compare the original track vs the recorded output from VDJ for two songs, highlighting the section with the discrepancy (vocal shot going silent in first song, synth shot going silent in second): https://youtu.be/j5lq2rVUhSI?feature=shared
In this video I playback a track with prepared stems, with the vocal/pad in the intro missing (which might not translate well in the recording) and the synth shot in the drop (highlighted in the first video) completely disappearing. I delete the stems, reload the track, and it plays back as normal. After stems are prepared, I reload the track, and the problem comes back. All stem pads are on. All stem EQ are neutral. I have zero FX active. Not shown in the video, but this fixed the issue on the other track too: https://youtu.be/GvSZI4ibqIA?feature=shared
Here is the specific synth shot waveform highlighted in red:

Here are my stem settings:

Reverting VDJ to a version before b8314 fixes this issue. Looking at the changelog for b8314, the second point seems like it could be related:
BUILD 8314 (2024-09-11)
-Fixes for using stem split with controllers with motorized jog wheels
-Fix distortion when using prepared stems and only boosting/muting a stem a few percent
-Fix adding a song to a cloud folder if the song is already in another cloud folder
I feel like i've heard other tracks sound slightly "off" or low quality but these two songs are the only ones that made it certain something is missing.
I asked support but they told me to ask here.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Might be related to
-Fix distortion when using prepared stems and only boosting/muting a stem a few percent
Although that means the knobs would not be exactly centered

Hi Adion,
I double checked that all stems are set to 100% using 5-stem EQ mode (unplugged controllers and double clicked to set to middle, hovering to verify 100%) and all pads are enabled. Is there anything else I can check on my side?

As an aside: looking at the full track (top) vs stem files I'm surprised to see that it's possible for audio to not be represented in any of the 5 stems. I'd expect summing all the stems to get pretty close to the original song, but I'm surprised it's possible to get near silence in the sum of the stems when there's content in the full track.

Thank you!

Thank you!
