Topic: Sandbox audio dropouts when using reverb on vocals only (stems)
I have a few issues regarding the stems isolation in combination with reverb. I am not a technician but I have an issue for some time that perhaps can be solved. Hopefully someone here on the forum or one of the developers can replicate and confirm what I am missing. I am gonna try to explain…
Since the introduction of real time stems isolation I started- and now am using reverb (the VDJ original) on vocals constantly for about every track, so effect_stems ‘vocal’ is always on. The reverb plugin is active in the 1st fx-slot so I can adjust the wet/dry signal on the vocals. So far so good. But when I switching on or off the sandbox 8 out of 10 times it goes with a dropout in the audio on the master output. Not always but way too often to use it in this context. Switching off the reverb and there is no problem at all. The dropouts don’t happen only with the reverb with stems on vocals when switching on/off the sandbox, but with several other effects too, using them in the same matter.

This brings me to another issue related to those dropouts when using the reverb on vocals only. Some time ago, shortly after the introduction of stems_split I tried the new function and experienced the same dropouts when using my “set-up” with the reverb on vocals. I discussed this problem with Klaus Mogensen on his Youtube channel because he made a short tutorial on this feature and I was curious if he experienced the same drop-outs as I did. He didn’t, but at the time I never had told him about my use of the reverb continuously on the effect_stems ‘vocal’….
I have not seen this topic in the forum yet, so I wonder if there is someone who can check if I am the only one or if there is a thing to solve…

Kind regards to everyone and all who try to replicate and reply their thoughts about this matter…

p.s. I do have another question to the developers regarding real time stems isolation: would it be possible (in the future) to exclude particular effect-plug-ins like for instance an equalizer or brake effect, like the channel equalizer is excluded too all the time, even when the isolation is active…

Nobody can confirm my dropouts experiences with switching on and off the sandbox and switching on and off the stems split function when having pitch more than 0%, master tempo on and only when using continuous effects like reverb on the isolated vocals? (I know it sounds a bit weird, but it happens only when all of this works together: pitch on zero and all is fine)

OK.....but the number of people using sandbox is probably very low (which is why no one commented) and also I don't imagine many people are switching sandbox or stems split rapidly on and off like that either.

In other words, yes it would be better if there were no glitches, but in reality it's not very likely that people would encounter it.

@ GroovinDJ: Klaus switches on and off very rapidly, but it is just for the test. Everytime in this setting stems split or sandbox will be switched on there will be a pop, click or dropout, how you want to call it..
