Topic: High CPU / System Load (Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation/audiodg.exe)
Hi all,
im using vdj (tried several version, also lastest) on a w10 machine (dell xps 9700, rtx2060) with traktor kontrol s8.
first i had a problem with "windows graphisolierung für audio" (Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation/audiodg.exe), that got one core up to 100% (=25% system) as soon as i connected the S8 via usb, even with vdj not running. after reinstalling all audio related drivers its gone.

if i start vdj now (no matter which version), "system", not audiodg.exe, shoots up to 25-30% (permanently cooking one core with 100%).

cpu load starts with vdj boot and ends with termination, not doing anything at all in vdj. even running vdj with headphones on the laptop as output only, S8 not connected.

usually, while really using vdj, vdj takes like 5-7 % cpu + gpu when analyzing stems. its not cpuload caused by a weak system. some kind of conflict?

any clues what to try?

edit: no stuttering, cracking or dropouts even with this load.
edit 2: while in standby (no tracks loaded, not doing anything) virtualdj.exe shows 0% cpu and 3-4 % gpu, but system is +/- 30%

thx for the answer. ill try it out. ... drivers i installed over and over, different sequences, all newest drivers

EDIT:
i tried out WPR and WPA before and had no clue what im doing : ), so many thanks for the link to the instruction / guide!

it shows that ntoskernel is running "thousands" of nvlddmkm.sys, all low "weight" but they add up 45/48 overall load.

... so its something with nvidia drivers ...

maybe ill try the lastest studio driver, any recommendations?

Studio Driver fixed it!

Started VDJ, idling around 0,3 % CPU and 1-2 % GPU, System 0,3 %, Overall Load 3-4% (1-2 % audiodg.exe)

Last thing to try is connecting the S8 ...

EDIT: now my screens on the S8 are gone : ( - put the screens files in the wrong directory, now i got the s8 screens on my laptop : ) i can even browse and activate effects with mouseclick

... well another install of vdj
 
New clean install of VDJ, also deleted all settings and database ... no screens on the S8. Besides that ... running fine : /

It just doesnt switch from "Kontrol S8" screens to "Virtual DJ" on the S8 when starting VDJ

EDIT: Downloading and installing Traktor Pro now, to get the screens back up
