Has anyone else had this issue?
I can have YouTube playing, but the moment I open Virtual DJ, YouTube hangs, shows the "Loading" circle ...
If I then close VDJ, and RELOAD the YouTube page, it springs back into life and carries on playing from where it stopped.
Any ideas / work around to this problem please? It seems that YouTube is able to see when VDJ is open or has just been opened, and immediately blocks playback.
Thanks

Why would you even want YouTube videos to be playing, if you're using VDJ?

You nay have turned on exclusiveAudioAccess in options, or using a ASIO driver for your sound card that works exclusively with one application

If during an event people ask for a song that I haven't got... For many years i've been able to simply open up YouTube in my laptop, cue up a song, and play it back through a 3rd Channel in my mixer. Now, opening VDJ stops YouTube dead.
What I don't understand is how YouTube can have access to seeing what other programs i have running in my laptop? Kind of worrying frankly...
Surely there must be a way to block YouTube from being able to see into my laptop!
Or is there a way to block VDJ from being "Online"? Perhaps that would work...?

... But you're right about it being linked to the Sound Card - I just closed VDJ, unplugged my Controller from my laptop, and then reopened VDJ and now YouTube videos will continue playing ... So it's something to do with when the Sound Card in the Controller is being used rather than the laptop's built-in sound card, but something has changed as YouTube worked with my Controller being connected before

That's what the integrated streaming services are for.

I found a solution / workaround - if i route my browser audio through the Internal Sound Card in my laptop instead of through the Controller Sound Card, YouTube videos work! So i can plugin an audio cable to the headphone socket on my laptop, and route it through a spare input on my Controller, and problem solved 👌😉
Maybe this will help someone else anyway!!

You shouldn't have your controller set as default audio for your computer anyway.
