I've been playing with this plugin called dearVR MICRO and it's Free from Dear Reality and Sennheiser. So far I've only tried it for my DJ Drops in post-production and it's awesome, to say the least!
I was thinking perhaps this could work inside VDJ8.5 and you could complete a transition by taking your mix into an orbit. You could even use it like you would a filter effect too. I think it's a VST3 so I'm thinking it might not work, but regardless it's cool for recorded effects.

I am really wanting to learn how to create the 4D,8D, whatever music. Are you using that with VDJ? If so, how? How does it integrate? Or do you record your music first then use that after to redirect where the sound is coming from?
