Topic: Periscope is shutting down - broadcast to twitter? how?

Should be fine, probably already works...

Twitter Live works in same way as the other services available in VirtualDJ broadcast.

It looks like you need to enter Twitter Producer to get the streamkey etc.
But we'll check and make a guide for it ;-)

Just a quick one for now..
Will make a more full blown wiki page for it

1) https://studio.twitter.com/producer/sources open this and choose "create source"

2) copy the url and stream key to VirtualDJ video broadcast

3) Press start broadcast in VirtualDJ

4) https://studio.twitter.com/producer/broadcasts go here to create a new broadcast event, select the source you created above at #1, and click "create broadcast", and you are live.. .

Thats it ;-)
 
Its still using Periscope broadcast settings it looks like, but a little different page getting the stream key etc ;-) Tested it real quick, and seems to work all good with the short "guide" above
 
Thanks for that but it seems that since it is only available on invite only I cannot see same options you have included in those screenshots :(

Ah, looks like its still a Periscope, until march 31st :)
So perhaps use Periscope for now ;-) https://www.pscp.tv/channel/music
 
okay I didn't see 31st March mentioned anywhere so just assumed it would go early March.. hopefully clear one way or another before my next broadcast on Saturday night ;)

Should still work fine on Periscope ;-)

And in meantime Twitter way will probably be public for all real soon, and add the preset to VirtualDJ etc
 
The method you shared has been working fine but one thing I cannot seem to get working is the chat during broadcast which worked in periscope - have you figured out how to do this? Thanks.
 
Chat where? on their site? if so, its something on Twitters end, havent tried that part yet, but will give it a go

Not sure Twitter has a chat same way Periscope did..
But will give it a try also ;-)

Might just be broadcasted video .... on regular Twitter profile page (and can comment on the video, but perhaps not a true chat)
